Matt Bloomfield will once again have plenty of selection headaches for Wednesday’s Championship six-pointer against Plymouth Argyle.
The Town manager explained at his Tuesday press call that Jordan Clark will be unavailable after picking up a small ankle knock in the warm-up on Saturday.
But Bloomfield – who is looking for his first win in charge against the Pilgrims – has no other fresh injury concerns as the Hatters aim to build on the promise shown in the performance against Sheffield United on Saturday.
Zack Nelson and Lamine Fanne are available while Reece Burke is “not quite there, but close” as the defender bids to return to the squad for the first time since the end of November.
Ahead of Wednesday’s crunch clash against Argyle, Bloomfield said: “We’ve had an extra day’s recovery and it’s on us to replicate Saturday’s performance.
“We know what is needed tomorrow and for the rest of the season but we’re going to try and use the momentum from the boys and the crowd from Saturday and I hope that’s replicated as much as possible.
“It’s my first game under the lights at Kenilworth Road and I’m looking forward to it. It’s up to us to give the fans something to cheer, because they’ve not had a lot to cheer.
“Every game is important and we want to win every game, no matter who against, or what the situation is.
“We need to keep calm and approach this match like we do every other – we’ll be aiming to replicate the performance from Saturday because we’ll play worse than that and win.”
