Rob's QPR verdict

Boss holds his hands up after home defeat at Kenilworth Road

Rob Edwards took responsibility for the 2-1 home defeat against Queens Park Rangers after admitting “three minutes of madness” cost him team at Kenilworth Road.

Despite leading at half-time after an own goal from Rangers’ Jimmy Dunne the Town fell to a third defeat in four games after two goals in three minutes from the Hoops.

“It’s on me, it’s on us,” Rob said afterwards. “We were in a great position, 1-0 up and playing well and in control.

“We should be 2-0 up with the chance we had but things like that can happen. The goals we conceded were really, really disappointing but I’ve been saying things like that for too long.

“It’s too easy for them to score the first goal and that rocked us a bit. It was three minutes of madness that ultimately cost us.”

After the final whistle Edwards and the Town players went around the pitch to take in the reaction from the home faithful.

He said: “I was saying thank you and apologising to those who were showing their frustration. We took in the applause when we were winning.

“We’ve now got a couple of weeks to work on things but I’ve got no doubt we’re good enough and that results will come.”
