Match preview
Fresh from winning promotion in the week, the Hatters will look to go a second consecutive season without losing at home in the league when they host bottom side Needham Market.
The Town were crowned champions of the ERWFL Premier Division on Tuesday evening following an 85th-minute winner from Fiona Buttigieg in a 1-0 victory away at St Albans.
After bettering their points tally from the 2023/24 season, the Town look set to improve on their goals conceded too, with two league games to play.
In their 20 league games played, the Hatters have only conceded 12 goals, compared to the 19 conceded last campaign.
Buttigieg’s strike on Tuesday evening was the 96th goal in all competitions this season. With three games in all competitions to go, the Town will be determined to break the 100-goal mark and better their tally of 102 from last season.
Opponents Needham Market have found life difficult this season and sit bottom of the table on 16 points.
With five wins in 20 league games, defeat on Sunday for Needham could see them relegated to the sixth-tier should results elsewhere go against them.
They have only managed to pick up two wins in 10 away games this season, conceding 34 goals in the process.
Goods for Good
Luton Town Ladies are delighted to partner with Goods for Good, a Hertfordshire-based charity that provides essential goods to vulnerable communities in the United Kingdom and around the world.
Hatters fans are urged to bring along any old sports kit/equipment that they may have, to donate to the charity.
Trophy lift
Make sure you stick around after full-time as the Luton Town Ladies squad will be presented with the ERWFL Premier Division trophy.
It has been a hard-fought battle to reach the summit of the table, and the girls want you to be there to share the moment with them.
A message from our general manager
Luton Town Ladies general manager, Nikki Baker has a message for Luton Town fans: “We are incredibly proud of the squad and management team for their achievements. It’s been a long, hard season and to come from behind with a huge amount of pressure on them each game, they’ve been immense.
“We would love to see as many of you there on Sunday to congratulate and support the squad for their final home game of the season. There’s something for everyone and it’s lining up to be a great day. Let’s turn Barton orange, see you there!”
