Bim Pepple is enjoying life at Southend United as he netted his third league goal of the season last Saturday.

The Canadian striker contributed with a goal and an assist within the first 20 minutes of the Shrimpers’ National League win against Tamworth.

Speaking after the game, Bim explained: “It feels good, the three points is the most important thing.

“I feel like I could have pushed for another goal, and I’m not fully satisfied with just the one goal, but we’ll definitely take the three points.

“I’m always going to try my best, some days it doesn’t come off as well as others, but today it did. I’m always going to give 100 percent, and I know people appreciate that.”

A huge Emirates FA Cup tie awaits Bim in the first round as Southend host Nathan Jones’ Charlton Athletic.

Staying in the National League, Dion Pereira was voted as Dagenham & Redbridge’s Player of the Month for the second time already this season.

After coming on as a substitute, he got an assist in the 4-0 win over AFC Fylde and helped rescue a point against Eastleigh before defeat at Oldham on the weekend.

The Daggers are currently midtable alongside Bim’s Southend and will travel to Crewe Alexandra in the FA Cup this Saturday.

Heading north of the border, Jack Walton’s Dundee United are fourth in the Scottish Premiership in their first season back in the top flight, losing only twice to high-flyers Rangers and Aberdeen.

Walton has been between the sticks throughout the season so far, keeping three clean sheets as the Tangerines have a big week with fixtures against Motherwell and Hibernian.

Back to the capital and Allan Campbell has started four games for Charlton so far this season as the Addicks sit three points outside the League One play-off spots after three consecutive draws.

Also south of the river, Jameson Horlick and Oli Lynch have had their loans extended at Dulwich Hamlet as Hakan Hayrettin’s side welcome Wingate & Finchley to Champion Hill this weekend.

Jayden Luker came off the bench for his first League Two appearance for Grimsby Town in their defeat to Milton Keynes, while Jack Bateson made his first Farnborough appearance in the win at Chelmsford City earlier this month.

Finally in Northern Ireland, Axel Piesold has made ten appearances for Cliftonville this season as they sit five points behind Premiership leaders Linfield.
