Off to Oxford on Tuesday night

Luton Town are back on the road as we visit Kassam Stadium on Tuesday night to face Oxford United in the Sky Bet Championship.

Matt Bloomfield will take charge of his first away game as Luton manager after being appointed as our new boss last week.

Oxford have found an upturn in form since they appointed Gary Rowett as head coach last month, they have won four games and are currently six unbeaten in the Championship.

The opposition

Oxford have steered themselves away from the bottom three in recent weeks following Rowett’s appointment, with the U’s sat six points clear of the drop zone.

Their inconsistent overall form before Rowett’s arrival was not on show when playing on home soil, as Tuesday night’s hosts have picked up 25 points from 14 home games this season, the seventh highest tally in the division.

Only three times this season have Oxford lost at the Kassam, with the U’s also winning their last three consecutive games in OX4.

The key man to look out for is midfielder Cameron Brannagan, who was injured in the reverse fixture in October but netted the winner against Blackburn Rovers last Saturday.

Last time out

The first game of the Matt Bloomfield era at Kenilworth Road was a goalless draw against Preston North End, ending a run of five consecutive defeats.

It was a welcomed first clean sheet in 12 games for the Hatters, who were unable to break a resilient Preston and take all three points.

How to follow live

There are multiple ways to watch, listen or follow all the action from Kassam Stadium.

Tickets for this fixture are sold out, so please do not travel if you do not have a ticket as there is no pay on the day.

If you are following from overseas, you can watch the game live on LTFC+.

Not at Kassam Stadium and not based abroad? You can still listen to the match live with Simon Pitts or follow game updates on our dedicated Match Centre, which will appear on the website and app home page in the build-up to kick-off.
