Oli Lynch's Lambs loan extended

Striker's spell at National League Tamworth to run to the end of season

Young Hatters striker Oli Lynch has had his loan with National League side Tamworth extended until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old academy graduate has scored seven times in 31 appearances in all competitions since joining the Lambs in early August, including the goal below against Manchester United U21s in the National League Cup last month.

The Hatters fan, who joined us as an Under-14, signed a new contract with the Hatters last April after being recalled from his profitable loan spell at Hemel Hempstead Town, where he had netted 11 times in 18 appearances for the National League South side.

Over the past two years he has also gained experience at Step 3 of Non-League football with Hitchin Town, in the Southern Premier Central, and Isthmian Premier side Dulwich Hamlet.

Meanwhile, fellow academy striker Tate Xavier-Jones has returned to Bedfordshire after his loan spell with Scottish Championship side Airdrieonians came to an end.

Tate made 14 appearances for the Lanakshire club, scoring once in a 3-2 Scottish League Challenge Cup win at Alloa last month.
