Our chairman, Allan Drummond, who as a registered blind person and uses Hatters Vision, is delighted to be joining Simon Pitts in the commentary box on Saturday to provide match commentary on the service for visually impaired fans and also on LTFC+.
This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the vital role commentary plays in enabling us to fully engage with the game.
Simon's detailed and insightful descriptions are my eyes in the stands, allowing me to visualise every moment of the action. We'll also be discussing the work of the LTDSA, the importance of campaigns like Unite For Access, and highlighting how essential accessible commentary is to creating an inclusive matchday experience. It’s a privilege to share this experience and demonstrate the power of accessible sports broadcasting.
The LTDSA is excited to announce the imminent launch of our brand new website at www.ltdsa.co.uk, designed to serve as a comprehensive resource hub for disabled Luton Town supporters.
We understand that attending matches can present unique challenges, and our aim is to provide all the information and resources needed to make every visit to Kenilworth Road as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
From accessibility guides and transport information to details on our services and support, the website will be a valuable tool for our members. We are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive community, and this new platform will play a key role in ensuring that all disabled supporters feel informed, connected, and empowered.
Finally, the LTDSA will be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday 2nd April 2025, starting at 6.30pm. This is an important opportunity for LTDSA members to come together, hear about the association's plans for the next year, and engage in discussions about improving accessibility and the matchday experience for disabled supporters at Kenilworth Road.
We have an exciting keynote speaker this year; Liam Bird from Level Playing Field who will share his insights and expertise. Keep an eye on our social media channels for more information.
The AGM is open to all LTDSA members. Further details of the meeting will be shared in the official invitation, which will be emailed to members by 3rd March.
