Jerome Passley-James' late strike wasn't enough to secure victory for Town against an effective Barnet side in a 2-2 draw at The Brache

The Hatters levelled the game, which sprung into life in the second half, through Excel Ed-Okungbowa before Passley-James scored what should've been the winner in stoppage time before the away side scored at the death.

Town should've took the lead in the first 45 when an excellent low cross from David Chigozie found his opposite wing-back Kyrese Richards, who's effort could only sting the post.

Barnet also showed prominent threats throughout, and looked every bit as dangerous as the side that dismantled Town 4-1 in the reverse fixture.

The visitors would take the lead in this affair when a back-line splitting pass allowed Barnet's number nine to race through and slide the ball past Charlie Booth just five minutes into the second half.

The Hatters levelled almost immediately, Chigozie again doing brilliantly by charging down a Barnet player before racing through on goal, the youngster showing excellent composure to turn inside and find striker Ed-Okungbowa who cooly side-footed Town back into the game.

Town thought they'd won the game in the 91st minute when Dawid Gawel made the most of a long ball to flick through fellow substitute Ty Lesser, the creative midfielder finding Passley-James who finished beautifully from the edge of the area.

Unfortunately, Town would not learn their lesson in shutting up shop, Barnet finding their own equaliser just a few minutes later, allowing the number nine to swivel and shoot in the area to once again level the fixture.

Town now look forward to their PDL Final against AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday, with tickets available for pre-purchase.

TOWN: Booth, Trialist, Barnes, Trialist, Chigozie, Knote-Reed, El Gourja (sub Lesser 78), Richards (sub Passley-James 70), Isufi, Hincapie-Alfonso (sub Gawel 61), Ed-Okungbowa (sub Odegah 61)
