Luton Town Ladies are back on the road this Sunday when they face Cambridge City Women.

Fresh off the back of their 3-1 League Cup semi-final win over Royston Town, the Hatters will be looking to make it eight wins in a row when they face the division’s bottom side Cambridge City.

The Town conceded their first goal of 2025 last Sunday, bringing a remarkable seven-game clean sheet streak to an end. However, they still have their winning run to maintain. Earlier in the season, the Hatters won 11 games in a row, from August up until December.

The opposition

After being relegated from the Women’s National League Division One South East last season, Cambridge have endured another difficult campaign this time around.

They currently sit bottom of the league on 10 points, seven points from safety. From their 16 league games so far, they’ve conceded 51 and scored just 15.

Despite this, Cambridge City are on their best run of the season, being undefeated in their last three matches. That started with a 2-0 win away from home against Wimblington, followed by a 3-0 win at home over Needham Market in the league and most recently a 2-2 draw away from home against Needham Market in the league.

Last time out

The last meeting between the two sides saw a commanding 3-0 win from the Hatters at Barton.

On the half-hour mark, Tasha Fensome bundled home a Fiona Buttigieg corner to claim her 50th Luton Town Ladies goal.

On the hour, Fensome added a second for Luton after she headered home another Buttigieg corner.

Leyah Maddix then added a third, just two minutes after being introduced, to round off a successful afternoon for the Town.

Back the ladies in Cambridge

The Town have picked up three points in every single away game since August and they need your support as they look to add another three points to their tally.

If you’re planning on catching the game, the match will be played at the FWD-IP Community Stadium, CB22 3FG, with a 2pm kick-off.
