After a 5-0 defeat to Real Bedford in the County Cup Final on Thursday night, the Hatters will look to bounce back when they host Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers on Sunday afternoon.
Luton Town Ladies suffered their first loss of 2025 - and only third of the season in all competitions - at the hands of Women’s National League Division One South-East leaders, Real Bedford Women.
Despite missing out on the County Cup trophy, our ladies will be looking to keep up their chase of current league leaders, Royston Town, to gain that all important promotion, which has been previously described by managers Myles Maddix and Fadi Mazloum as: “The absolute priority.”
The Town will be lifted by the return of Bridget Adu, who starred at Kenilworth Road and will be available for selection in the league, for the first time this calendar year.
The opposition
Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers are positioned seventh in the ERWFL Premier Division and have played 20 league games already this campaign, in contrast to Luton’s 12.
The club, who were only formed five years ago after a merger between Dussindale Rovers and Hellesdon Football Club, are nine points clear of the drop and will be looking to pick up maximum points in their final two league games to avoid any relegation worries.
The side, based in Norwich, have won back-to-back away games coming into the fixture, firstly with a 2-0 win away at Watford Ladies and most recently, a 2-1 victory at Clarence Park against St Albans City.
Last time out
The previous meeting between the two sides, was back in September last year and it was another fine display and clean sheet on the road for the Hatters.
Tasha Fensome and Gabriella Spillman netted a brace each, with Chloe Martin rounding off the scoring, in which was a successful afternoon for the five-star Luton.
Back the Town at Sharpenhoe Road
Our Ladies need your support as they return to league action and look to pick up the crucial three points.
Sunday’s game at Barton Rovers Football Club kicks off at 2pm!
