Luton Town Ladies are away from home again this Sunday when they take on Chatham Town in WNL Division One South East action.

The Hatters have a strong record on their league travels as of late, picking up seven out of a possible nine points, with wins over Milton Keynes and Chesham United, and most recently a draw from two-down against QPR Women at Loftus Road.

The opposition

Chatham Town sit fifth in the WNL Division One South East table, winning 4, drawing 1 and losing 3 of their first 9 fixtures.

Chatham head into the game in high spirits having knocked third-tier Exeter City out of the Women’s FA Cup on penalties after drawing 2-2 in normal time. Manager, Keith Boanas, is no stranger to the competition having reached the final in three consecutive years between 2003-2005 as manager of Charlton Athletic Women, winning the competition on the third attempt against Everton Women.

After Gillingham Ladies’ collapse in 2020, the side rebranded as Gillingham Women, competing as an independent club. It was then in 2023, where manager-chairman of Chatham Town was announced as owner-chairman of the side and the FA approved the full rebrand to Chatham Town Women from the 23/24 season.

Back the Town in Kent

The Ladies need your support in Kent as they look to extend their undefeated streak away from home in the league.

Sunday’s kick-off at The Bauvill Stadium is at 2.30pm. Tickets are available on the day.
