Luton Town Ladies are back at home at Barton Rovers for the first time since November and they need your support against Cambridge City.
The game is the Ladies’ first league game of 2025 and we hope to replicate the record set in 2024 of being undefeated in the league at home.
The Hatters have kicked off 2025 with two wins in our first two games. A 1-0 away victory over Watford Ladies in the League Cup was accompanied by a massive 11-0 win against Wootton Blue Cross Lionesses to reach the County Cup semi-final.
The opposition
Cambridge City currently sit bottom of the ERWFL Premier Division, with 2 wins and 10 losses from their opening 12 league games.
After a difficult start to the season, Cambridge are starting to click. One half of the Hatters’ co-management duo, Fadi Mazloum, said: “We will go into the game with full confidence, passion, heart and desire to achieve one goal.”
Last time out, Cambridge fell to a 6-0 defeat by the league’s in-form side Haringey Borough.
Our last game at Barton
17th November 2024 was the last time we hosted a game at Barton Rovers and it was a memorable one as we defeated third-placed Haringey.
The game featured goals from Tasha Fensome, Elly Wade, Cesca Partridge, Jess McKay (pictured) and a hat-trick from midfielder Amber Leighton.
Back the Town
As we look to make it three wins from three in 2025, we want to see as many of you there as possible. We need your support as we attempt to close the gap on the league leaders.
Sharpenhoe Road (Barton Rovers FC), Sunday 26th January, 2pm kick-off. Tickets on the day will cost £5 for adults and £1 for children.
