Tasha Fensome’s second-half header was cancelled out by a 90th minute equaliser, as Luton Town Ladies ended 2025 with a 1-1 draw away at Dulwich Hamlet.

Myles Maddix made two changes from the side that was defeated at Chatham a fortnight ago. Nicole Melling returned between the sticks after a two-week absence, and Natalia Makowska returned to the frontline in place of Andie Dickens.

The Town started with a high press, with some persistent work from Fensome forcing the Hamlet to clear behind for the game’s first corner with less than two minutes on the clock.

But, it was the hosts who should have had an early lead. A ball from Dulwich’s right hand side was fizzed across the box into the direction of Fuller Fagan, who was unmarked but headed wide.

Jànaye Beaufort found herself in space about 25 yards out from goal and unleashed an effort at goal, but the ball drifted wide of the post.

Some smart play from the Town resulted in another long-range effort from Beaufort. Leyah Maddix held the ball up well and laid it off for the midfielder, who again could only fire wide of the target.

Nicole Melling was called into action for the first time just before the break. The Town keeper spilled the ball from a long-range Hamlet effort, but was quick off her line to block the rebound and Lisa Milliken was eventually able to clear, after a few nervy seconds from the Ladies.

After a dominant start to the second-half, Fensome headed the Ladies into the lead.

Taylor O’Leary and Maddix played a smart one-two on the edge of the Dulwich area, with the latter spreading it out wide to Natalia Makowska, who laid it off for Shanice Lewis to send a lofted ball into the centre of the box, where it was met by the leaping Fensome to power home her ninth of the season.

With 25 minutes to play, Courtnay Ward-Chambers was introduced for her first appearance since September, and it was almost instant impact from the Town forward. She collected the ball, drove into the box and aimed for the far post, but was unable to hit the back of the net.

Despite the Town’s dominance, the hosts found themselves level with seconds of normal time remaining as Lucy Monkman’s cross looped over Melling, giving Hamlet a share of the points and leaving them one place and one point behind the eight-placed Hatters in the Women's National League Division One South East table.
