The Town Ladies face local rivals this Sunday when they host AFC Dunstable in the County Cup semi-final.

The Hatters progressed through to the last four, following an incredible 11-0 away victory against Wootton which saw Gabriella Spillman and Shanice Lewis both net hat-tricks.

Should the Ladies come out victorious they will face the winner of the other semi-final tie between Biggleswade United and Real Bedford.

The opposition

Following relegation from the ERWFL Premier Division last season, Dunstable are flying high in the Division One North division, sitting second in the table and in sight of league leaders Harpenden Town.

They have won nine of their 13 league fixtures this campaign and have proven hard to break down, only conceding 10 goals in their league matches.

Dunstable have started off the month of February in fine form, winning back-to-back matches, firstly a 2-1 win over Harpenden and most recently a convincing 4-0 victory over Kings Lynn Town.

Last time out

The last time the two sides faced off was in the closing game of the 2023/24 season, where the Hatters came out 6-1 victors thanks to goals from Tsaianne Leander, Amber Pearson and a Jess McKay hat-trick.

Although Dunstable did get one up on Luton at this stage of the competition last campaign, knocking the Hatters out the competition on penalties.

A message from the skipper

Club captain, Elly Wade: “We play all our games at Barton Rovers Football Club, there is a great atmosphere and we at Luton Town Ladies would love to invite any Hatters fans down to watch and give us their support.”

Kick-off at Barton Rovers on Sunday is at 2pm.
