Matt Bloomfield will be able to call upon the services of wing-back Isaiah Jones for Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off against Leeds United.
The January transfer window arrival missed last weekend’s win at Hull after picking up a knock while on international duty with Guyana.
“He’s trained all week and has been fantastic,” Bloomfield said of Jones at his Friday afternoon press call.
“He’s looked in a lot better shape than he was this time last week.”
The Hatters have no fresh injury worries ahead of the game with promotion-chasing Leeds with Teden Mengi available after a full week of training.
“It’s possible he could feature and possible he might not,” said Bloomfield on the centre-half’s availability.
“We welcome him back into the fold but we need to look after him. We had the case with Reece Burke and Tahith Chong to make sure their reintegration is at the right time but Teden is at the forefront of mind but he’s trained well.
“He’s worked ever-so hard and there’s no doubt he’ll feature before the end of the season.”
Chong and Burke have also come through unscathed after each played 45 minutes last weekend.
“Burkey was a bit sore but he’s okay and Tahith has trained too – you’d never guess he’s been out the length of time he has.”
As for the test against a Leeds side going for promotion, the boss said: “We attack each game as it comes and we can only execute the best we can by focusing on things day by day.
“We’ve given ourselves some momentum and belief and the boys are working hard.
“We’ve just got to be ready to continue that on Saturday.”
