We can confirm that striker John McAtee has joined Sky Bet League One club Bolton Wanderers on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old joined the Hatters from Grimsby Town in August 2022 before being loaned back to the Mariners for the rest of the 2022/23 season.

Last term the striker scored 12 goals in 40 games on a season-long loan at Barnsley, as he helped the Yorkshire side reach the League One play-offs.
