Hatters boss Jack Wilshere and midfielder Kasey Palmer have been nominated for the Sky Bet League One awards for April.

Following a month in which the Hatters topped the six-match form table, out scoring champions Lincoln City by a better goal difference of +2 as both clubs won five and drew one of six matches, Jack is on the shortlist for Manager of the Month.

The former Arsenal and England midfielder has steered the Hatters to a 12-match unbeaten run to close the season in seventh place, missing out on a play-off place by two points.

He also led us to victory in the Vertu Trophy final, beating Stockport County 3-1 at Wembley, although that competition does not count towards the Manager of the Month award.

Jack is up against Lincoln’s Michael Skubala, Cardiff’s Brian Barry-Murphy and Blackpool’s Ian Evatt.

Kasey, on loan from Hull City, enjoyed a stellar month in which he scored five goals in as many league starts, as well as providing a sublime assist for Shayden Morris to net the equaliser at Mansfield.

The 29-year-old emerged a real fans’ favourite at Kenilworth Road, where he netted a crucial winner in the closing stages against Barnsley to ensure the Town travelled to Bolton on the final day with a chance of qualifying for the play-offs.

Jamaica international Kasey is in competition with Lincoln full-back Tendayi Darikwa, Bolton's on-loan striker Johnny Kenny and Stevenage goalkeeper Filip Marschall.

The winners will be announced on Friday 8th May.
