Young defender Jack Bateson has joined National League South leaders Farnborough on a one-month loan ahead of their trip to Chelmsford City tomorrow.
The move represents a second opportunity for the Hatters’ Under-21 captain to gain senior experience following his loan spell at Southern Premier League Central side Hitchin Town last season.
Jack, who turned 20 yesterday, joins his former Hatters academy team-mate Millar Matthews-Lewis, who has been in fine form recently for the Hampshire club, netting four goals in his last three matches to take his tally to five for the season.
Elsewhere, striker Oli Lynch’s initial 28-day loan at Isthmian Premier League promotion chasers Dulwich Hamlet has been extended until January.
Hamlet, who also have our goalkeeper Jameson Horlick on loan, are fifth in the Step 3 table going into tomorrow’s game at home to Billericay Town.
