World School Milk Day is held on the last Wednesday of September each year, to celebrate the benefits of milk programmes in schools.

After the Great Depression and the two World Wars, school milk programmes were key in providing children with an important food source (the rationing of milk was introduced in 1942).

To this day, these programmes are still considered an important element to a school day – providing key nutrients such as calcium and B12, along with protein and energy, which can assist growth and development.

Here to Help volunteers will be distributing the cartons, so keep a look out for your Junior Hatter!
