Even having a small number inside the ground for the visits of Norwich and Preston last December was so memorable, so in line with government and our local Safety Advisory Group’s guidance that numbers can now be increased to capacity, we are so excited to welcome you all home after 17 long months.
We want the day to pass as smoothly and as enjoyably for everyone attending, so please take time to read the following information ahead of your return and please take your fellow Hatters into consideration at all times.
CASHLESS KENNY
We would like to remind supporters that Kenilworth Road is now a cashless stadium, starting with the match against Portsmouth, with all food and drink kiosks, bars and the Ticket Office taking card payments only.
Along with many other football grounds and entertainment venues, this decision has been taken with the safety of supporters at the front of our minds as the pandemic continues.
Please ensure you bring a suitable payment method with you to avoid issues at the till when you visit Kenilworth Road.
TICKETS
As part of the new access control process for entering Kenilworth Road, tickets can now be sent digitally to be printed at home or to have on your phone if required.
Season Cards can also be activated to allow access to non EFL games. Thermal matchday tickets can also be requested for collection if unable to use the new technology.
These will all be able to be scanned to allow entry to the stadium, as detailed in the videos HERE
Tickets for the Portsmouth match are currently available on general sale at the following prices:
Tickets are available to purchase online or from the Ticket Office now by phone or in person.
If any supporter has any issues with the new processes for purchasing tickets, please email either [email protected] or contact 01582 416976 from 10am.
To assist both the Ticket Office, stewarding staff and yourselves, although it may be possible to sell tickets on matchday, supporters are strongly advised to purchase in advance for this fixture.
GROUND OPENING
The turnstiles will open 90 minutes before kick-off. All areas of the stadium will be open as a normal matchday, with the Oak Road Stand designated for away supporters only.
COMMERCIAL AND HOSPITALITY
The hospitality areas at the Stadium will be open for those commercial guests who have booked packages.
Entry for John Moore and Millennium guests through Main Reception will only be permitted from 1.45pm, once players and staff have entered.
For Eric Morecambe guests, access will be via the entrance on Maple Road from 1pm-1.45pm, the main reception will be open from 1.45pm.
Exit will be via main reception after the match.
COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
While restrictions have been lifted in recent days, Covid-19 infection rates are rising and all supporters enter the stadium at their own risk.
An NHS Covid pass is not required to enter the ground, nor proof of a negative test. But if you are displaying symptoms, awaiting test results or have been pinged and told to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace between purchasing your ticket and the day of the match, please do not attend. You will be entitled to a refund, upon the provision of evidence that you have been told to, by contacting the Ticket Office before kick-off.
The NHS QR Code will be available at entrances for those who choose to check-in using the NHS Covid-19 App.
Bars and hospitality areas will all have windows and doors open to allow as much ventilation as is possible, but we would encourage people to remain outside in the open air as much as possible.
Please wash your hands regularly and keep your distance, where possible.
FACE COVERINGS
Following the relaxation of government rules on Monday 19th July, face coverings will not be mandatory in the stadium. However, please do continue to wear a face covering if you feel more comfortable doing so, and please also be sensitive to others if you choose not to wear a face covering.
We would also like to emphasise that club staff also have the right to choose whether to wear a face covering or not, so please respect every individual’s decision.
HAND SANITISING
There will be extra hand sanitising stations around the stadium, at kiosks and in toilets. Please make use of these at every opportunity and leave in place for others to use after you.
High touchpoint areas will also be cleaned regularly throughout the game.
CLUB SHOP
Unfortunately, the stadium shop remains closed due to damage caused during a fire last month.
Our town centre store on Park Street will be open from 9am until 4pm on Saturdays, and 10am-4pm Monday-Friday.
Orders can be placed online at all times HERE
PROGRAMMES / GOLDEN GAMBLE
There will not be a programme for either of the home friendlies, but printed copies of Our Town will be on sale at the opening Sky Bet Championship match of the season against Peterborough United on Saturday 7th August from vendors around the stadium, and at all kiosks and bars, taking card payment only.
Golden Gamble tickets will be available from the Peterborough fixture and further details will be released in the lead up to the game.
MASCOTS / FLAG BEARERS / HATTERS HIDEOUT / HALF-TIME HOT-SHOTS
Our club mascots Happy Harry and Hatty won’t be in action for the pre-season friendlies, and nor will pre-match flag bearers. Half-Time Hot-Shots will not take place, and the Hatters Hideout will remain closed – although the outdoor play area will be accessible.
We hope to be able to reintroduce these matchday favourites for the EFL season kick-off.
STREAMING
There will be no live stream available, with iFollow Hatters coverage restarting on Saturday 7th August. EFL Digital have yet to determine what access will be available for 2021-22 but we will advise supporters as soon as we are informed.
LEAVING THE STADIUM
As you are well aware, Kenilworth Road is situated in a tightly condensed residential area so please respect your fellow supporters and our neighbours by leaving the stadium in a patient, responsible manner.
Thank you for your support, Hatters.
