Friday night under the lights

Our official preview for Derby County

kr night

Gameweek 22 kicks off at Kenilworth Road as Luton Town host Derby County in the Sky Bet Championship on Friday night, live on Sky Sports in the UK (8pm GMT).

Rob Edwards’ Hatters are on home soil for the final time in 2024, looking to finish on a high before Kenilworth Road signs off until 2025.

Paul Warne’s Rams come into this game after an emphatic 4-0 win over Portsmouth but have won just once on the road so far this season.

The opposition

Newly promoted Derby are seven points above the relegation zone ahead of their first visit to Kenilworth Road since February 2022.

Warne’s side came second in League One last season behind Pompey, who they hammered at home last Friday.

Derby’s away form has not matched their record at home, they lost every game until October as they adjusted to the second tier.

Since then, the Rams have picked up seven points on the road, most notably the win at Coventry City before sharing the points at Turf Moor last time on their travels.

How to follow live

There are multiple ways to watch, listen or follow all the action from Kenilworth Road.

Subject to availability, a small number of tickets are still available to be with us on the night. These are on general sale to supporters with a previous purchase history and Hatters members without a previous purchasing history before 1st November.

Fans are advised to arrive as early as possible to avoid any potential long delays in entry, particularly at the Kenilworth Road end of the stadium.

If you cannot join us and are following from overseas, you can watch the game live on LTFC+. A full list of countries that can purchase an LTFC+ match pass will appear here in due course.

Not at Kenilworth Road and not based in one of the eligible countries? You can still listen to the match live with Simon Pitts or follow game updates on our dedicated Match Centre.

Last time we met

Luton took all three points the last time Derby visited Bedfordshire in February 2022.

Danny Hylton’s last goal for Luton was the winner against the Rams as we moved into the Championship play-off places.
