Young Hatters goalkeeper Liam Coyne has joined Southern League Premier Central Division side AFC Sudbury on a youth loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old, who was born in Luton during his dad Chris’ seven-year stint as part of the Town’s defensive back-line but raised in Australia, has featured in the Under-21 squad over the past two seasons.

He started the current campaign on a youth loan at Bigglewade, then returned for another month-long spell at the Southern League Division One Central club just before Christmas.

He now joins the side who are second-from-bottom of their Step 3 division ahead of their home game tomorrow with Stamford, who are one place and five points above them.
