After a successful start to 2025 last Sunday – where the Town Ladies reached the quarter-final of the League Cup following a 1-0 victory over Watford Ladies development last week – they’ll look to reach the semi-final of the County Cup when they take on Wootton Blue Cross Lionesses.
The opposition
As of late, games being played have been a rarity for Wootton, who haven’t played since a 7-1 defeat to Newmarket Town Ladies on 17th November last year.
The side sit seventh in the ERWFL North Division. After 10 games, they have won four, drawn two and lost four.
However, they can be dangerous in attack, scoring 24 goals across those 10 league games.
Their biggest win of the season so far was back in September when they beat King’s Lynn Town 5-0 at home.
Our record against lower league opposition
The Ladies’ incredible goalscoring form is excellent when facing opposition from a lower league.
Overall when facing lower tier opposition three times this campaign the Town have scored 20 goals.
Chigwell were beaten 11-0 away in the FA Cup third round qualifying round before Herford were seen off 5-0 at Barton in the second round of the League Cup.
The Hatters then came from two goals down to beat Hutton in the first round of the FA Cup in November.
Back the Ladies
As we look to make it back-to-back wins in 2025, the Town need your support!
The game will be played at Weston Park in Wootton (MK43 9JT) on Sunday and kick-off at 2pm.
