Hatters forward Carlton Morris discussed Saturday's derby against Watford live on the talkSPORT Breakfast Show on Friday morning.
Chatting to Alan Brazil and Ray Parlour, Luton’s number nine explained the season so far and how the squad are feeling going into this derby fixture.
“We’ve got to see it as a great opportunity to jump-start our season and be a real momentum shift for us,” said the 28-year-old.
“We’ve become known to perform better in the bigger games and it’s something the lads should really look forward to sticking their teeth into.”
Carlton, who has not made an appearance since our last win against Sheffield Wednesday last month, believes the standards have been set during the international break ahead of Watford’s visit to Kenilworth Road.
“I’ve loved the energy in training going into derby week, it’s always my favourite time and I’m really looking forward to what we can produce on Saturday.
“We are one hundred percent behind the gaffer and you will see that in our energy and performance in this game. Training this week has been of the highest standard and intensity.
“These are the moments I’ll miss so much when I hang my boots up one day, representing a club I’m so proud of in these massive games.”
