Boss Rob Edwards says the Town will be without defender Reece Burke for Saturday’s trip to Norwich City.
The defender came off at half-time on Wednesday at Leeds United after feeling his squad in the first half of the 3-0 defeat.
“It’s tough to take because he’s a really key player for us,” said Edwards at his pre-match press conference on Friday.
“When he’s fit and available we want him to play and hopefully it won’t be long. It’s frustrating but he gives everything and he’s committed to working with his body and becoming more resilient.
“We’re disappointed but it gives other people an opportunity and we need them to step up.”
Liam Walsh will also miss the trip to Carrow Road with the midfielder feeling his hamstring after the Hull victory.
The Town will continue to be without the services of Reuell Walters and Alfie Doughty as they aim to end a run of five successive defeats on the road.
“Norwich have good players and a couple of great individuals. But lots of teams have matchwinners so it’s not different to normal,” said Edwards.
“We’ve had a good meeting and we’ve spoken about taking care of the basics and our game management.
“Our decision-making has got to be better away from home. At Kenilworth Road there’s a clarity there but away, when we’re under some pressure, we’ve got to improve.
“We’re struggling for consistency right now – it’s an unpredictable league – but that’s what we’re searching for.”
