Matt Bloomfield is looking forward to his first taste of a Luton-Watford derby on Sunday.
The manager goes into the game looking for his first win in charge and naturally wants his side to give the supporters something to shout about in one of the most eagerly anticipated fixtures of the season.
“I’d absolutely love to give them the bragging rights,” said Bloomfield at Friday’s press conference.
“It’s a rivalry of course that I knew about but didn’t realise how fierce it was until you’re involved in it.
“I know what it means for our supporters, and I know we haven’t won at their place for a long time and even longer in the league.
“However, we need to approach it with a balance. We need a performance but we can’t be too emotional in individual moments.
“Sunday will see two proud football clubs wanting the points for different reasons.
“The lads are ready to go. Sunday will see lots of emotion and an intense atmosphere, and for us, we want to win on the road, score goals, play on the front foot and impose ourselves on the game.
“The performance levels in the last two games give me a believe we can get a positive result.”
