The Hatters Development Squad bowed out of the Beds Senior Cup after a 1-0 defeat at Barton Rovers on Tuesday night.

After a goalless first half, Rovers took the lead six minutes into the second period when Charlie Milton tapped home.

The Town’s hopes of getting back into the tie took a turn for the worse when Aiden Francis-Clarke saw red for a second bookable offence shortly before the hour mark.

Despite pressing for a late equaliser, the Hatters couldn’t find a way past the Rovers defence and the home side celebrated their place in the next round of the competition.
