The opposition

Middlesbrough have been flirting with a play-off spot for most of the season and come to Bedfordshire sat three points outside the top six.

Three wins in their last four games has certainly boosted hope for the Boro, who have reacted well after losing seven of their last eight matches previously.

A poor away run was put to an end with victory at Stoke City last month, marking just their second victory on the road in 2025.

Carrick said it was unlikely that he can welcome back any of his injured centre-halves for this fixture after playing midfielder Jonny Howson and left-back Neto Borges in the middle of defence against QPR on Tuesday night.

Last time we met in LU4

Luton came from behind to further strengthen our play-off spot with victory against Boro back in April 2023.

Cameron Archer gave the visitors the lead before Tom Lockyer and Carlton Morris clawed back with goals in the second half to secure all three points.

Last time out

The Town had to come from behind to take all three points from Cardiff City on Tuesday night.

An unbelievable solo goal from Jordan Clark and Thelo Aasgaard’s winner completed the comeback for our first away win since September.

Officials

The referee for our fixture against Boro will be Farai Hallam.

91 yellow cards and two red cards have been handed out by Hallam across his 31 games this season.

Hallam last officiated a Luton fixture when we visited Swansea City in December.

Referee: Farai Hallam

Assistant Referees: Ian Cooper & Carl Fitch-Jackson

Fourth Official: Robert Massey-Ellis
