Ethon Archer loaned to Port Vale

Winger joins fellow League One side for the rest of the season

Ethon Archer has today joined Port Vale on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old winger signed for the Hatters from Cheltenham Town in the summer transfer window, but remained with the League Two side on loan until the start of January.

The former Whyteleafe, Sutton Common Rovers, Bedfont Sports, Raynes Park Vale, Three Bridges, Welling United and Torquay player had made 28 appearances this term for the Robins, scoring three times.

Ethon made his Luton debut in last week’s Vertu Trophy tie against Swindon, but under the EFL’s rules, he is permitted to play for a third club in the same season with that one appearance for his parent club coming in the Trophy.

Stepping up a division from Cheltenham for regular football, he joins a Vale side battling to escape the immediate drop back to League Two, but under new management in former Northampton boss Jon Brady.

Good luck at Vale Park, Ethon!
