Andrew Shinnie joins Charlton Athletic on a season-long loan

We can announce that midfielder Andrew Shinnie has today joined League One outfit Charlton Athletic on loan.

The 31-year-old – who joined the Hatters following his release from Birmingham City in 2018 after his initial season-long loan for the League Two promotion winning campaign – will join the Addicks for the duration of 2020/21 in order to gain regular minutes on the pitch.

Andrew played a vital role in helping Town win the League One title in 2018-19, scoring four goals and assisting a further six in 41 appearances while winning the players' player of the year award.

Last season he made 16 starts in the Sky Bet Championship including the 2-1 victory against Charlton at Kenilworth Road.

This season he has started matches against Reading and Manchester United in the Carabao Cup, and now joins up with Charlton who are 17th in League One after four matches played.

We wish Shins the best of luck with the Addicks this season!
