We can confirm that Alfie Doughty has left Kenilworth Road and joined Sky Bet Championship club Millwall for an undisclosed sum.
The 25-year-old departs after three seasons which saw him help us win promotion to the Premier League, make 105 appearances and score six goals.
After coming through the ranks at Charlton, Doughty joined Stoke in January 2021 before arriving in Bedfordshire in the summer of 2022.
He had to wait until October to make his debut in Luton colours when playing in the 1-0 win at Norwich, but would go on and become a regular down the Town left.
Alfie then scored his first goal for the club in the 3-0 win at QPR in December – a strike that would later be crowned our goal of the season.
Having helped the Hatters win promotion to the top-flight, the wing-back scored twice in the Premier League (his first pictured above at Sheffield United) and laid on eight more as we finished 18th in our first campaign in the top-flight since 1991/92.
Last season, having put pen to paper on a new contract, Alfie made 27 appearances in the Championship, scoring once at Sheffield Wednesday in February. He would make his final appearance for us in the 1-1 draw at Stoke in April.
Everyone at Kenilworth Road would like to thank Alfie for his contribution to the club over the past three seasons and wish him all the best in his new adventure at the Den.
