Academy graduate Aidan Francis-Clarke has left Kenilworth Road and signed permanently for National League club Braintree Town.

The centre-back had been with the Hatters since joining our academy as an under-15 and had featured on the bench for the first team in the Premier League last season.

After previously enjoying loan spells at St Albans City and Dagenham & Redbridge, the 20-year-old joined Braintree on loan in January and has since helped the Iron to three wins and two draws in his first six matches.

That loan has now been turned into a permanent transfer ahead of the Essex side’s home game against Forest Green Rovers this afternoon, and Aidan leaves with the best wishes of everyone at Luton Town for his future career.
