Catering Assistants £6.21 per hour plus appropriate enhancements
Active Luton Catering requires a number of catering assistants to work around 10 hours per week at Luton Town Football Club. The hours and days will be varied but mostly evening and weekends working at all home match days held at Kenilworth Road.
Experience with kitchen work is desirable. Your duties would include: carrying out simple preparation of foods including vegetables, salads, sandwiches, sauces, premixes and frozen products and assist the Cook in cooking foods by frying, boiling, steaming etc., serving customers, being responsible for income received and balancing daily takings, ensuring the cafeteria area is clean and equipment is in working order.
Staff over the age of 18 may be trained to work behind the bar and serve customers in accordance with current licensing regulations.

Part Time Event Chefs £8.50 per hour plus appropriate enhancements
Up to 10 hours per week or up to 521 hours per year.
Active Luton Catering requires six event chefs to assist in the delivery of high quality meals to customers in many of Active Luton's venues. The hours will be varied but due to service requirements will be mostly evening and weekend shifts.
The main work will be at Luton Town Football Club working all home match days.
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will help run and oversee all sections within the busy
kitchens and be responsible for preparing and presenting food. All Chefs take responsibility for the Health & Safety within the kitchen and correct storage of the food produce.
You will also be involved in ensuring that profitability and food standards specified by the Head Chef are maintained.
You will be required to have previous experience working in high volume kitchens. You will need to have a background working with fresh food and be aware of all the health and safety/food safety legislations practiced in working kitchens. Qualification to an NVQ level 2 or City and Guilds equivalent is also preferred but not essential.
You should have a sound knowledge of food Health & Safety and be able to adhere to the standards and specifications.
