The Hatters' reserves lost their sixth straight fixture in the totesport.com Combination following a 2-1 defeat at Peterborough United this afternoon.

Coaches Alan Neilson and Kevin Watson both started the game at London Road in a Town team that also included George Beavan, new signing Godfrey Poku and trialists Craig Nelthorpe and Abu Bakr.

Posh took the lead through former Hatters loanee Ben Wright four minutes before the break but Adam Newton levelled the score against his old club when netting shortly after half-time following good work from Ryan Charles.

However, Posh pressed for a winner and got their reward 10 minutes from time when home substitute Danny Mills forced Ed Asafu-Adjaye to put the ball past Shane Gore to hand the hosts victory.
