Substitute Liam Toomey looked to have given the young Town side a valuable victory in their quest to lift the East Division title but they were denied two minutes from time when the hosts' James Dayton slotted home the leveller.

The draw does, however, extend Alan Neilson and Kevin Watson's unbeaten run to 10 games and put them three points behind leaders Wycombe Wanderers with a game in hand.

Aidan Quinn fired the Hatters in front on 28 minutes only for the O's to hit back when Bradley Gray headed a Dayton cross beyond trialist goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson in the Town goal.
