Goals from Calvin Andrew, Stephen O'Leary and Ahmet Brkovic earned Luton a draw in a game that saw Keith Keane come back from injury and play 45 minutes.
Luton put out a young side for today's Reserve game against Colchester United, with five Under-18s making appearances throughout the game.
Despite taking the lead twice, Luton couldn't hang on as a Rob Sinclair own goal minutes from time denied the Hatters a win.
Calvin Andrew scored his first goal of the season in the 18th minute after Dean Morgan crossed a low ball into the penalty area where Andrew was able to bundle the ball into the bottom right hand corner.
However Colchester pulled back level moments before the referee blew for half-time with a shot from the edge of the box.
They then took the lead after a mistake from Luton's youth payer, Harry Hogarth, gave Colchester a penalty.
But Luton went on the attack and within six minutes had taken back the lead.
Stephen O'Leary pulled the two teams back level after 73 minutes when a quick pass from Elliott Osborne-Ricketts just outside the area gave him the space to drive the ball home using a Colchester defender as a deflector.
Three minutes later Dean Morgan broke through the Colchester defence and was unlucky when his cross from 12 yards hit the bar.
Fortunately for Luton, Ahmet Brkovic was able to head the ball in as it rebounded down off the crossbar.
The game looked to be won until Rob Sinclair stretched to cut out a low cross from the left but unluckily deflected the ball into his own net.
But Luton fans will be pleased to see Keith Keane play his first game in six weeks after having a hernia operation last month.
