Central defender with bags of experience who joined the Hatters in August 2008. Roper came through the ranks at Walsall, gaining a reputation of being a tough, no-nonsense defender. He made 325 appearances during his 13 year period at the club scoring eight goals. He won promotion on three occasions, won the Player of the Year award in 2003 and won a League 2 championship winners medal after the Saddlers' success in 2006/07.
