An energetic striker who has been at Kenilworth Road since the age of nine, Charles has worked his way through the ranks at the Club before scoring 17 goals in his debut season for the Luton Town youth team.
He followed that form up by scoring 12 goals for the youth team the following season and his exploits during those two campaigns earned him his first team debut as a second half substitute at Southend in March.
He was given his full team debut in the following game against Carlisle before scoring on his home debut against Oldham.
Charles had turned down the chance to join local rivals Watford as a youngster.
Dogged by unfortunate injuries in recent seasons Charles is on the road to recovery with the striker earmarking the 2009/10 season as the biggest of his career.
