Assured, tenacious and a good passer of the ball, the Town snapped up the former Czech Under-21 international after impressing in the pre-season friendly against Newcastle.
Besta began his career with his hometown side Banik Ostrava, and in a seven year period, helped them win the Czech league title in 2004 which led to appearances in the Champions League qualifying rounds and made a UEFA Cup appearance against Middlesbrough.
He joined the Hatters alongside fellow countryman Zdenek Kroca in August 2010 after a campaign in Slovakia with Ruzomberok.
