Town boss Richard Money is hoping his side can continue from where they left off following Saturday's win over Wrexham by earning victory number four on the spin against Kidderminster Harriers on Tuesday night.
The Hatters' chief has been impressed with the way he team have come through two testing home fixtures on the bounce to get within five points of league leaders Stevenage.
And with the Town looking to keep the pressure on the top two with a win over Harriers, he believes their successes over Forest Green and against the Red Dragons on Saturday have been crucial.
"We're beginning to improve not just results-wise but also the way we're going about it at the minute," Money told the media on Monday.
"Saturday was a big stepping-stone and Tuesday was a massive test of character for the players to come through what they had to both on and off-the-pitch.
"Saturday I thought was a big turning point in what was a real professional and proper football performance.
"We did well in the first half with the ball and did well in the second half when we didn't. It's those kind of things that you need to win football matches."
Without getting too carried away, the Hatters' boss has always maintained that their destiny is in their own hands.
With most of the league focusing on the top two and their meeting on 30th March, Money is pleased that the spotlight remains away from Kenilworth Road.
"Good," he said. "Keep it that way. It's fine by me. Carry on...
"I've been saying for a long time that the second half of the season would be very interesting but we've got to concentrate on everything we do.
"We've got to win as many matches and earn as many points as we can. That's all we're bothered about."
Although Steve Burr's Harriers arrive in Bedfordshire off the back of a result they will want to forget, the Town need to be wary that the Worcestershire side have yet to taste a league defeat this year..
"They will be a danger," warned the Town boss. "Everyone will look at their result on Saturday against Stevenage and expect us to roll them over.
"But they were unbeaten since 28th December and will want to bounce back from Saturday.
"It will be a very, very difficult game and the players know what to expect.
"We'll do everything possible to make sure we can get the right result. The only thing on our minds is three points."
On the selection front, both Liam Hatch and Adam Newton will again miss out as they continue to recover from hamstring problems while Kevin Nicholls, Lewis Emanuel and Ryan Charles remained sidelined.
However, Money explained that striker Matthew Barnes-Homer will be available after declaring himself okay to feature against his former club following the death of his father last week.
"I spoke to Matthew on Sunday and he wants to be involved," the manager said. "And full credit to him.
"I hope everyone maybe a little more understand with him.
"Nobody can imagine what he's been going through over the last few weeks and I said to him your dad would want you to be involved.
"It means he can now show people what he's about because his mind has been elsewhere.
"You'd like to think that what's happened will take a lift off his shoulders and that he can perform like I know he can.
"He'll no doubt want to do well against his former club and I'm pleased he's taken the view to return to."
