Good afternoon and welcome to Kenilworth Road for today's Easter Monday game against promotion-chasing Chesterfield.

A big welcome to Lee Richardson, his staff, directors and supporters of Chesterfield.

The last time the two teams met was on Boxing Day in an entertaining 2-2 draw. I watched Chesterfield against Lincoln on Tuesday evening so I know it will be a difficult encounter today.

We'd all like to extend a welcome back to Drew Talbot who is currently on-loan at Chesterfield. However, as a part of the loan agreement Drew will not be able to play against us today, but we wish him every success for the remainder of the season.

Due to printing deadlines, I am writing these notes before the match with Lincoln so hopefully we will have a positive result and performance coming into today's game.

Speaking of positive results, in case you weren't there, it was an honour and a privilege to lead a Luton team out at Wembley last Sunday.

I'd like to personally congratulate each and every player for the monumental effort put in during 90 minutes and extra time and also extend my gratitude to the players who did not feature for their support and backing of the team.

It is a testament to my backroom staff for the manner in which we not only approached the game but the levels of fitness shown by the players throughout 90 minutes and extra time.

I'd also like to thank and congratulate the 2020 consortium; Gary Sweet, Antony Brown, Stephen Browne and Nick Owen and all the investors, because without their knowledge, commitment and passion for this football club there would have been no trip to Wembley.

Also a special thanks to all the staff at the club who have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks to make sure everything ran smoothly for Wembley.

And finally you are without doubt the best supporters in the country, which was evident by the support you have the team on Sunday.

The noise and atmosphere you created, from where I was standing, was unquestionably a factor in our victory.

It was difficult during the game to get my message across to the players and I know the players on the pitch struggled to communicate, simply because of the noise created by you the fans.

It is a special and great achievement to win another trophy for this famous club, which will live long in the memory of myself, the players and the fans.

Keep the faith.

Mick.
