Frustrated Town boss Richard Money held his hands up after seeing his side surrender their unbeaten start to the season at Tamworth.
Two goals in the last 12 minutes gave the Lambs a 3-1 victory after Tom Craddock had equalised three minute into the second half.
But Money, who also thought his players were feeling the effects of a busy first three weeks to the campaign, believes his team are still on target for success.
"We're disappointed, obviously," he said afterwards. "Over the course of the 90 minutes Tamworth probably edged it but we've given away two goals in the last 10 minutes and lost the game.
"I thought we looked a bit jaded and tired and that's the result of having to play at our maximum every week against teams who give their maximum against us.
"The schedule is ridiculous and eventually it catches up with you.
"In the first half we didn't get as many crosses or shots in as we would have liked and in the final third we weren't with it.
"Tom makes it 1-1 and at that point you probably think we're going onto win it but fair play to Tamworth, they stuck at it but we've given them two goals from two mistakes.
"Playing football the way we do, on the floor, means we have to accept there will always be a mistake or two. We don't want to lump it forward.
"You learn that there are no easy games in this league, though.
"I think we spoiled everyone by winning the first three games because all of a sudden everyone thinks 'this is nice, we're going to steamroller everyone'. It's not like that.
"We've taken 10 points from five games. That's two points per game and that's the target.
"I think if we land up with 92 points we'll win the league."
With Craddock starting alongside Matthew Barnes-Homer, Kevin Gallen a substitute and Danny Crow not involved at all, the manager revealed he still isn't sure who his favoured front pair are.
"This week will do Tom a world of good. He scored today, he scored at Fleetwood last week and hit two in a friendly in midweek," he said.
"Him and Matthew are similar in that they like get in behind whereas Kevin and Danny link the play.
"It's fair to say I'm still searching for the number one pairing."
