Town defender Keith Keane refused to let his head drop after last night's 4-2 defeat against Rotherham United. Despite the slip-up coming at the worst possible time of the season, the 22-year-old spoke of the importance of taking the positives from the defeat, looking to the next league game and enjoying Sunday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final at Wembley.
Keane said: "I think that's the best football we've played in a while - we've played well in the last couple of games - but obviously we weren't good enough as a team defensively and that's what killed us in the end.
"Our confidence was very high, and I think you could see that by the way we played tonight, but we need to get our heads up again like we have done all season and keep going.
"We were punished because of the little things. If we can cut the little things out then I'm sure we can go on a good run until the end of the season."
With the players now able to focus on Sunday's final, Keane feels that the final at Wembley couldn't have come at a better time, and that every player will be desperate to win the trophy for the club and most importantly, the supporters:
"It'll be good to get away from the league, have a nice day out at Wembley, make a good account of ourselves and then we can start again in the league.
"There's been a bit of banter about Wembley but as soon as training started and as soon as games came about, we didn't think about it. It'll be a special day and we'll enjoy it but the league is our main priority.
"We'll go into Sunday's game in the best form we've been in all season. No-one should have their heads down when they go to Wembley, no matter how bad they're playing.
"With 40,000 people coming down, we have to win to feel like we've given something back - that's more pressure than anything. We're going to give it our best and try our hardest to win the trophy for the fans."
