Nottingham Forest Colin Calderwood believes his side are back in the race for automatic promotion, following their narrow victory over Luton.

"We've gained on the teams above us - there's no hiding that fact," Calderwood told Forest's website. "We don't want to allow either Carlisle or Doncaster to fall over the line. I want us to push them all the way and make them win games to win promotion.

"If they're not up to it, I hope we will have done our job in our final two games and get over the line ahead of them.

"It would be nice to take it to the final weekend of the season and it would be great to go into that game in an even more powerful position, which there's every chance of.

"The effect of winning a game where we were poor in the first half and better in the second was there for all to see.

"There can be no doubting the professionalism of the players because they got through a game that really was a scrap."
