Manager Mick Harford felt he was able to take positives from this afternoon's 1-0 defeat at the City Ground.

Speaking after the match Harford said: "If you came here not knowing anything about the two teams you wouldn't have been able to tell which team are chasing promotion and which team are at the bottom of the table.

"It's very frustrating but I can't fault the player's determination and passion, they don't deserve to be on the losing side this afternoon.

"When you are at the bottom of the league breaks don't go for you and that's what happened today.

"I was pleased with the type of football we played - that is the way I want to play going forward.

"We contained Nottingham Forest well and created plenty of chances."

But Harford admitted that he knew it was always going to be a difficult task for him at Luton.

"When I took over at Luton there was imbalance in the Club," he added. "And so it was always going to be an upward struggle but you can't fault Keith and Don's determination."
