Manager Mick Harford was pleased with his side's performance at Millwall and felt they should have come away with more than just a point.

He said: "I thought we dominated the first half and should have gone in ahead.

"In the second half we didn't play as well.

"We dawdled on the ball a bit and made a few wrong decisions and didn't move the ball as quickly as in the first half.

"We were on top in terms of chances and possession but we are not putting the ball in the net."

The Hatters were without both Paul Furlong and Chris Perry, but Harford was full of praise for Don Hutchison who was forced to step up to the plate.

"Don came in and did very, very well," he said.

"He had a chance in the first half but unfortunately it was in the right position for their goalkeeper."

Having gone three games unbeaten Harford remains confident that his team is up to the task of clawing their way out of the relegation battle.

"It's going to take a monumental effort and we will probably have to win every game to get ourselves out of trouble.

"Until it's mathematically impossible I won't give up.

"There has been an improvement in the football and the last three games have proved they should be in a higher league position."
