HARFORD EXPECTING A RESPONSE FROM PLAYERS
Despite seeing his side suffer defeat at the hands of relegation rivals Bournemouth, Mick Harford remained upbeat about the Hatters plight and the chances of remaining in League 1 this season.
"We are thoroughly disappointed," commented Harford "We never got out of the blocks and there were some crazy, crazy goals.
"It's the first time ever in a professional game where I've seen a team have to go into a game with no central defenders on the pitch.
"We've asked the Football League for help but they don't seem to want to help us and now we've picked up another injury today with Keith Keane, but we are in a situation here and we just have to shrug it off.

"I can understand the fans' reaction, but we've just got to be patient and keep working hard. It's a long, long road and we're in a deep, dark tunnel but there is a light at the end of that tunnel.
"I believe I'm the right man for the challenge because this is a massive challenge and I believe the players can respond.
"The performance was disappointing, but it's just a small part of what's going on here.
"The first half was awful and the second half we started well before it petered out into a deserved Bournemouth win if I'm honest.
"There's a lot of disappointed players in that dressing room. They're disappointed with themselves and the performance.
"I can only organise them, advise them and motivate them. When they step over that white line it's up to them and the last few games a lot of them have let themselves down."
