HARFORD BEMOANS UNACCEPTABLE PERFORMANCE
Luton boss Mick Harford admitted the performance from his player during Tuesday's loss to Swindon Town was unacceptable.
The Hatters never looked like scoring, whilst at the other end of the pitch a defensive mistakes proved costly as Alan Goodall's error allowed Swindon's Christain Roberts to score early in the second half.
Harford couldn't even single out any good individual performances and knows his players must improve on their performance if they are going to beat the drop this season.
He said: "We never got started. I tried to shake it up at half-time with a couple of substitutions, but that didn't work. We were second to every ball and we didn't have a decent player on the pitch.
"In some scenarios it has to get worse before it gets better and tonight was probably as low as it's going to get because the performance was very poor from the first whistle to the final whistle.
"I'm not blaming Saturday's game or the atmosphere. The fans tried to get behind the players like they always do. This evening we just looked nervous in possession, we gave the ball away very cheaply and if you don that you're going to come under pressure.
"Overall it was a very disappointing performance. I'm not going to hide away from anything but that it not acceptable and I've told the players that.
"They know the level of performance. They know that's not what should be served up on a Tuesday night by Luton Town."

Harford had highlighted Luton's good home form this season as the key to League One survival, but with the team now second from bottom he is under no illusions of the enormity of the task.
"We're in a relegation battle, six points adrift and we've got to start winning games," he said. "I'll always remain positive. I'll always try and put belief into players and I'll always believe we can get out of trouble.
"Obviously our hands are tied in the transfer market but I've no excuses. I knew that when I came in and as I said sometime you have to go a long way down before you come back.
"There are 18 games to play and there's enough time and enough points to win and get out of trouble but if we play like that we won't."
