After a strong performance on the pitch Hatters boss Mick Harford felt his team deserved more than the one point they came away with.

"It is disappointing not to come out with more than one point," he said, "I thought we dominated the game.

"The first-half was very scrappy and Leeds are a very competitive team but in the second-half we took control.

"I thought the crowd today was absolutely first class, they gave me a great reception and got behind the players."

He went on to praise his players, picking out Sam Parkin who has recently returned from injury.

"All credit to the players. They kept going and worked hard.

"They fought and scrapped for 90 minutes and we thoroughly deserved the equaliser.

"Obviously Sam will get the accolades. He has had a rough time but I'm just glad he's back and fit again.

"He had a bad injury for a long time but he's back and he made a good contribution to the game and capped it off with a goal that gave us the point we deserved."

And with another home game on Tuesday Mick is full of confidence for the future.

"It's a good start for us and for me and my career at Luton. I hope that it might be the catalyst for the spark to keep us going.

"We've got 19 games left and 57 points to play for and if we play like that we will be okay.

"We just need to start picking up points at home and sort our away form out. But after what I saw today we have got a chance."
