BOSS HAPPY WITH POINT
Luton boss Kevin Blackwell chose to distance himself away from the off field events of the week, instead concentrating on his side's performance at Walsall.
As predicted, Blackwell was questioned by the press about the FA charges that hit the Club during the week.
But the Hatters boss was determined to keep focused on his side's performance at the Bescott Stadium.
Blackwell said: "I don't think any manager or player want anything unsavoury said about the Club that they work for.
"Everything that has been put into question has come at a time when I, and the Chairman, were not involved at the Club.
"I believe in the short term that the Chairman will want to answer them questions and make a statement.
"That's all I can say on the matter really because I don't know what has happened."
Despite the off field problems, Luton managed to stave off another away day defeat with a spirited and hard working performance at the Bescott Stadium.
But Blackwell admitted that Luton's lack of cutting edge cost his side the chance of winning their first league away game of the season.
"It was a good performance, but I think the cutting edge just wasn't there. However, we have known about that for a while.
"According to the stats we have created the most chances in the division, but we just can't seem to finish teams off.
"Walsall is always a difficult place to come and I think that their crowd always get behind the team.
"But today I felt we got on top of them at times and we could have gone on and won the game.
"You have to go on the road and try to make yourself unbeaten. We have to show a bit more steel away from home. We changed the system a little bit and I thought we looked a more manful side.
"You could go through the team, one to eleven, and say they all did well this afternoon."
